LUSIANA DIASPORA . This is the brand that António Delgado registered to identify a global platform that provides diverse informative content and which, at the same time, is one of the most complete directories of relevant information and contacts using georeferencing for and from Portuguese and Portuguese-descendants living anywhere in the world.

“ I hope that the LUSIANA DIASPORA can be the broadest and most innovative global network of interaction between all Portuguese people, wherever they are ,” says the founder of this initiative, who lives in Coimbra.

The team involved in developing the platform has already identified more than 5,000 records of associations, media outlets, support offices, embassies and consulates, cultural centers, restaurants, parties and events, success stories, news and many other contents related to the diaspora in approximately 950 cities spread across around 120 countries on five continents.

The founder of this initiative also emphasizes that DIASPORA LUSA is not a static platform. Every day new news and entities emerge that will be the subject of news reference, georeferencing and inclusion on an exclusive page on the website www.diasporalusa.pt .

It also highlights that the growth strategy of the LUSIANA DIASPORA is geared towards creating the largest and most complete database ever to exist on everything related to Portuguese communities in the world. At the same time, a range of current and useful information about Portugal and the Diaspora will be made available, seeking to highlight the ever-present and influential Portuguese presence in the four corners of the globe.

The LUSA DIASPORA team has developed several contacts around the world and at various levels in order to establish and strengthen strategic partnerships that contribute to the sustained growth of this platform.

The mentor of this project believes that this is an innovative, timely and extremely useful initiative that will help the members of the Portuguese diaspora around the world to strengthen the ties that unite them to their country of origin . He also highlights that “ in Portugal there are 10 million of us, but we cannot forget that, beyond our geographical borders, there are more than 5 million Portuguese and Portuguese descendants . In practically every corner of the globe there is an unmistakable mark of the Portuguese presence that deserves to be highlighted on this platform ”.
